How-To Apply Liquid Eyeliner

It looks fabulous;it never goes out of style, and it can polish any look, even on your most frazzled days. It's liquid eyeliner, a must have for any girl with the fashion or beauty bug. There's only one problem: it's a bitch to apply. Achieving the perfectly lined eyes of movie stars or models is impossible, even after ten cotton swabs dipped in make-up remover. What is it about Liquid Eyeliner?

There's no denying its popularity. Liquid eyeliner has weathered many long decades, been linked to some of fashion's worst moments (goth anyone?)and yet, despite its forays into the bowels of fashion and despite fashion's finicky nature, the steadfast eyeliner comes out on top. In fact, it has been the trademark cosmetic for an alarmingly large number of beauty icons: Marlene Dietrich, Marilyn Monroe, and Audrey Hepburn wore it on what must have been a daily basis. You would be hard pressed to find images of these cat-eyed ladies without their rimmed eyes. There are beauty icons today who seem to have the same affinity with liquid eyeliner. Angelina Jolie and Madonna never seem to be without their eyeliner. Whatever "it" is, liquid eyeliner has it in spades. If only we all had steady hands and impeccable application skills!
